About Me: Therapist | Coach | Meditation Teacher
My Journey to Becoming A Therapist:
My experience supporting others in their personal and professional development began over two decades ago as a healthcare provider and evolved to include specialized experience in learning and development, teaching meditation, executive and professional coaching and providing therapy.
My Approach To Therapy: Getting To The Heart Of Your Issue
My background in healthcare shapes my evidence-based, scientifically informed approach. I integrate practical tools with deeper relational and somatic work so that clients experience both insight and measurable progress.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I am also a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation and a certified meditation teacher.
My work is integrative and collaborative. Depending on your needs, I draw from:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other mindfulness-acceptance approaches
Somatic and trauma-informed therapies
Focusing-Oriented Therapy
Together, we determine what best supports your goals.
My office is located in mid-town Toronto (in-person), and I offer virtual therapy for those who find it more accessible. I work closely with you to tailor our approach to meet your specific needs. Therapy with me is active and collaborative. During our sessions, we won't "just talk"; we will use your experiences and challenges to begin experimenting with new ways of thinking and acting, and in time, you will feel empowered to carry these changes forward. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on beneath the surface and begin to create meaningful shifts—one step at a time.
At the heart of emotional well-being is your relationship with yourself. Many of the patterns that keep you stuck were shaped by family dynamics, cultural expectations, stress, trauma, or long-standing habits of coping. In our work, we gently explore what’s operating beneath the surface. The result is self-support rather than self-criticism, kindness rather than controlling and nurturing rather than punishing. Over time, this internal shift creates meaningful change in how you experience your life and your relationships.
Developing Strategies and Skills To Handle Difficult Thoughts and Feelings
A core part of my work involves helping you develop practical, evidence-based skills to manage anxiety, depression, trauma responses, and emotional overwhelm.
When life has been stressful for a long time, the brain can become wired for prediction and protection—leading to hypervigilance, shutdown, or persistent worry. You may notice patterns of avoidance, overworking, numbing, or self-doubt that offer short-term relief but come with long-term costs, keeping you disconnected from the life you want.
In therapy, we work with:
Thought patterns that keep you stuck
Emotional reactions that feel overwhelming
Nervous system responses such as anxiety, hypervigilance, or shutdown
Repetitive relational patterns
Self-compassion and resilience skills
The goal is to help you feel steady, empowered, and capable from the inside out.
